“Owner – Long Hollow Farm, LLC/Rachel Seifert”
Capital support for and the business management of Long Hollow Farm is provided by Rachel Seifert. Born with "the horse gene," Rachel began her life-long love affair with Morgan horses, and had a successful career as a junior exhibitor in the Midwest, showing in-hand horses, pleasure (hunt and saddle seat), park, driving, western, and roadsters. After completing college and law school (a better career was needed to support the "horse habit"), Rachel switched to Saddlebreds in the late 1980s, and specifically, five-gaited horses. For the several years Rachel remained in Dallas, Texas, the competitive Southwest Circuit was the venue for victory passes aboard numerous gaited champions – Night Fever, Attache´s Big Business, Champagne´s Ambassador, and Worth A Fortune. When a career move with healthcare giant HCA brought Rachel to Nashville, she teamed up with Lisa, "just to get to ride a little." Ten years later, "riding a little" has turned into an enduring friendship and business partnership with a strong view to the future. A few career twists and turns for both Seifert and the Pyburns have strengthened the skill sets and resources needed to be successful in the horse business. Rachel is a prime example of the successful selection and development Pyburn strategy – her gaited star Callaway´s Holy Moly was selected by Pyburn as a two-year old.
The "Real Bosses"
Lest the humans think otherwise, the "Real Bosses" of Long Hollow Farm are Baxter and Clarice - Rachel's Jack Russell terriers.
