Hi, my name is Rudy and I´ve been asked to do a special favor for my People (more about them in a minute). You see, I´m the very first horse born on Long Hollow Farm, and they wanted me to tell you all about everything I do and see.

 

I was born on the night of May 2, 2006. I was wanting to be born earlier, but my "Horse-mom", who´s name is Hillary, wasn´t ready because there were a lot of storms in April and she wanted me to be safe. When I was first born, my "People-mom" Miss Lisa, was there helping. And then, Mr. Donnie came to see me and he helped too. I wanted to get up right away and see everyone, but I was tired, and so was my Horse-mom, so we rested. And before I even got up, my other People-mom Miss Rachel came to see me. (She doesn´t live at the farm, so she had to come in a Car to visit.) Miss Lisa and Miss Rachel were very happy to see me and they did something that People do -- they were Crying! After a little while, Mr. Donnie and Miss Rachel helped me stand up. My legs were so wobbly, but I was sure I could do it, and I did! They showed me what part of my Horse-mom had my milk (like I didn´t know!). Horse-mom wanted to nurse me, but it turns out I was born with Teeth and she thought I was biting her! Eating and sleeping was all I did for a few days, because being hungry and tired was all I knew. I´ll tell you more about what I learned later when I write again. Well, there is one more thing I know:
