Long Hollow Farm´s activities are supervised and monitored by trainer-manager Donnie Pyburn. With over 30 years of experience in the selection, training, development, showing, and marketing of American Saddlebred horses, Donnie brings the culmination of his career´s experience and his personal integrity to the goals and objectives of the clients of Long Hollow Farm. Highly regarded by his peers as "a trainer you can follow," Donnie´s unique expertise lies in the selection of very young horses for their innate talent and then safely and appropriately developing each individual´s show ring niche. Because of the care and discipline applied to the training and development of the young prospects selected by Donne, a uniquely high percentage of these horses are turned over to their amateur or junior exhibitor riders very early in the horses´ show careers – often in their junior or 5-year old years. A sampling of the horses and owners fortunate enough to have enjoyed this career path include:

Callaway’s Merriweather (World Champion)

Jigsaw Johnny

Mr. Snuffalupagus (World Champion)

Mr. Gary Cooper (World Champion)

Tonight´s Dream (Reserve World Champion)

Dusty Beau (World Grand Champion)

The Straight Guy

Danger High Voltage

Olympic Charm (World Champion)

Lover’s Eyes (World Champion)

Donnie´s success doesn´t just rest with the selection and development. He also excels in the management and improvement of amateur horses, particularly the "senior stars" of the show ring who require more attention to their diet, shoeing, and conditioning. Bringing CH/WGC Radiant Success back to his former glory as a Fine Harness Champion is just such a success story.

In addition to his successes in training and showing, Donnie is also an experienced breeding manager. Long Hollow Farm has recently initiated a very select breeding program, and our first foal was born in 2006. Use the link at the left to Visit Rudy's Corner! Two mares are in foal for 2007.
